The Global Dental Access Days (GDAD) Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to increasing access to charitable dental care and preventive education for underserved communities. We support and help produce large-scale dental access events (like Arizona Dental Access Days) by bringing together volunteer dental professionals, community partners, and donors. Opportunity (1099/Project Based)
We’re looking for an experienced independent grant writer to help us grow our funding pipeline. This is a remote, as-needed/project-based engagement with flexible hours. Ideal for a grant consultant or small firm that already serves nonprofit clients.
Scope of Work
- Research and identify grant opportunities from private foundations, corporate giving programs, and (as appropriate) government sources that align with GDAD Foundations’s mission.
- Develop and submit clear, compelling proposals, letters of inquiry, and related documents.
- Assist with basic budgets/narratives tied to proposals.
- Track submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and awarded grants.
- Collaborate with the GDAD team to gather program details, impact metrics, and patient/volunteer stories for use in applications.
What We’re Looking For
Demonstrated success securing grant awards for nonprofits — preference for experience in healthcare, public health, oral health, community health, humanitarian/volunteer clinics, or education/workforce development.
Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to turn technical program info into funder-friendly language.
Organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.
Alignment with our mission to increase access to care for underserved populations.
Please send 2–3 examples of grants that were funded that you wrote or took the lead on, and tell us:
1. Name of the funder (or type of funder if you can’t disclose),
2. Approximate award amount, and
3. The nonprofit’s sector/industry (e.g. community health clinic, mobile dental, medical mission, education, social services).
(We understand some details may be confidential — just share what you can.)
